Practical longevity & wellness

Energy, strength, and healthspan goals

Low energy, slower recovery, or a loss of strength can have many causes. A wellness visit reviews sleep, activity, nutrition, stress, medications, menopause symptoms, weight history, and recent health results to find the issues most likely to respond to care.

Private physician-led care serving Bellevue, Clyde Hill, Medina, Hunts Point, Seattle, and nearby communities. Select physician travel appointments may be available in Oregon and California by advance arrangement.

What may be happening

What healthspan looks like in daily life.

Energy and function reflect sleep, strength, activity, nutrition, stress, medications, mood, medical conditions, relationships, and the demands of daily life. The starting point is to define what has changed and what you want to be able to do.

Dr. Chang reviews your history and available records, identifies the issues most likely to respond to change, and explains which symptoms belong in primary, specialty, urgent, or emergency care.

01

Function over hype

Healthspan shows up in energy, strength, mobility, and independence

Useful goals might include maintaining strength, sleeping more consistently, recovering from activity, reducing a measurable health risk, or preserving the ability to travel and participate in the life you value.

One or two changes that fit your week are easier to carry out and evaluate than a complete overhaul of sleep, food, exercise, and supplements.

02

Focused evaluation

Look first at the causes most likely to change care

A review may include sleep, training, nutrition, stress, alcohol, medications and supplements, menopause symptoms, weight history, mood, and relevant recent health results.

New or significant fatigue can also reflect medical conditions that need primary or specialty evaluation. Dr. C Wellness Studio is not a substitute for comprehensive diagnosis or longitudinal primary care.

03

Evidence before novelty

A test or supplement should answer a real question

Broad “optimization” panels can produce false alarms and findings that do not improve decisions. Dr. Chang orders testing when there is a clinical reason, the result can be interpreted, and it could change care.

Supplement reviews can identify duplication, interactions, unclear ingredients, excessive doses, or products that do not match the goal. New supplements should earn their place rather than being added by default.

  • What question will this answer?
  • Would the result change care?
  • What are the costs and downstream risks?
  • Is there a simpler, better-supported step?
04

Make it livable

A short plan is easier to follow and adjust

A plan may focus on strength, aerobic fitness, sleep, nutrition, stress recovery, preventive care, a targeted treatment, or coordination with another clinician. The exact mix depends on the concern and available evidence.

Progress should be judged by the outcomes that matter: function, symptoms, adherence, selected clinical measures, and whether the plan still fits your priorities.

A good wellness visit should narrow the priorities, not leave you with a longer shopping list.

Frequently asked questions

Questions that often come up.

These answers are general information. Your consultation is where recommendations become specific to your health, location, and goals.

Will you order a large longevity laboratory panel?

Not by default. Testing is chosen when it is clinically relevant, interpretable, and likely to change care. Broad panels can create false alarms and unnecessary follow-up.

Can the visit measure your biological age?

Commercial age scores can be interesting, but many are not validated to guide individual medical decisions. The visit prioritizes risks, symptoms, and capabilities that can be measured and acted upon.

Do you prescribe hormones or medication for longevity?

Medication or hormone treatment requires a clinical indication, an appropriate evidence base, and benefits that are expected to outweigh risks. A wellness consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Can Dr. Chang review your supplements?

Yes. Bring a list with names and doses, or photographs of the labels. The review can identify duplication, interactions, unclear ingredients, or products unlikely to serve the stated goal.

Is this appropriate for new or severe fatigue?

New, severe, or rapidly worsening fatigue needs timely medical evaluation and may belong in primary, urgent, or emergency care depending on accompanying symptoms. Chest pain, breathing trouble, neurologic symptoms, or severe weakness should not wait for a wellness visit.
